Stacked logs under the big sky again.
Montana has around 5 million acres of beetle killed forest. Some of it is now being chipped and sent by rail to a paper factory in Washington.

This is greatest gathering of skipper rocks in Montana. No one know why they congregate here. They are dispersed to the river by children and adults, by competitive types who want to get the most skips and solitary skippers doing it for the simple pleasure. There is a very small accumulation of the best skipper rocks on the far shore. These are the ones with the best qualities thrown by skilled or lucky hands that made it all the way to the other side.
